2 · The safety machinery FIRES

11/11 defenses fire through the same governance code the daily cycle uses: two-tier kill ladder (SOFT −5% de-risk / HARD −10% all-cash), soft de-risk blocks every NEW position and INCREASE. The live curve is monotonic (0% drawdown) — the brakes are dormant because it never stressed, not because they're absent.

Backtest Methodology & Evidence Standard
Point-in-Time Backtest Standard
We run our backtests using the Capital Preservation Algorithm (CPA) methodology, which enforces strict point-in-time data integrity.
No Look-Ahead Bias
Historical simulations only use protocols and data that existed on the simulation date. A protocol launched in 2023 cannot appear in 2022 backtest data — even if its APY data is available today.
Four-Stage Evidence Gate
Before any capital is deployed, our strategies pass through four validation stages:

What We Don't Do
Cherry-pick backtest periods to inflate reported returns
Use "backtested" APY from protocols launched after the simulation period
